Football Kenya Federation provincial league debutants Olenguruone FC are appealing for help from the region’s leaders, well wishers and corporates  to help the players realize their full potential.

Speaking at the stalled multi-million Olenguruone stadium in Kuresoi  south Sub-county in Nakuru County, club chairman William Ochieng and captain Robert Ngetich said that despite being the only club in  the constituency they are faced with myriad of challenges including lack of transport, playing kits amongst others.

“We are not only unable to meet transport but referee fee amongst others,” he said. “Most of the players are unemployed and others are school going hence they need help.”

The officials said with the construction of the stadium stalling they’ve been forced them to travel to faraway places including to Amalo Secondary School, Cheptuech or Keringet grounds  to honour their home matches

The team is thus appealing to the national and county government to hasten the construction of Olenguruone stadium.

“We are pleading to the contractor not to continue dragging its feet over the completion of the stadium. It has taken more than six years since construction began, which they said had taken more than six years” team captain Ngetich said.
