Despite recording seven consecutive wins in the FKF-PL this season, Nairobi City Stars head coach Nicholas Muyoti has played down their chances of claiming the league title.

City Stars are currently second on the log with 33 points, seven points adrift of leader Gor Mahia after 18 rounds.

The ‘Simba wa Nairobi’ edged Posta Rangers 1-0 at the Ruaraka Grounds yesterday with Muyoti saying his team is taking one match at a time.

“Am not thinking about Gor Mahia, I am just thinking about our next match. We have a job to do and for now we are just thinking about our next opponent. When we come to face Gor Mahia that’s when we will think about them but for now we are thinking and planning about AFC Leopards.” Muyoti said.

His Posta counterpart, John Kamau bemoaned the many missed chances that came in their way vowing to work on his attack ahead of their next assignment against Murang’a.

Posta who had a bright start to the season have dropped to fifth on the log with 29 points, 11 points behind leaders Gor Mahia.

“We need to start finishing the chances that we are creating because despite the condition of the pitch, I can say my boys really tried to manage and control the game well. Now the most important thing is to work on our finishing.” Kamau said.
