Five mourners killed after perimeter wall collapsed in Mombasa

Five people were on Monday killed after being hit by a perimeter wall which collapsed in Miritini, Jomvu, Mombasa County.

The five had attended a burial ceremony when rain began and they took shelter against the wall surrounding a nearby factory, an official at the county emergency response department, Ibrahim Basafar, told Citizen Digital.

A baby and three women were killed on the spot while another died while being treated at a local private hospital, Basafar said.
