Bawumia, the wife of Ghana's Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, paid Madam Rachel a courtesy call Wednesday morning at the presidential residence in State House, Nairobi.
"Glad to have this morning met Her Excellency @SBawumia, the Spouse to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana who paid me a courtesy call at State House, Nairobi," Madam Rachel tweeted alongside image of the duo sharing a chat.
Madam Rachel took office at noon on Tuesday, when her husband, President William Ruto, was sworn in as the new president at Kasarani Stadium.
And, as President Ruto succeeded Uhuru Kenyatta, Rachel succeeded Margaret Kenyatta, who had served as first lady for ten years.
