Father poisons son, 6, after fight with wife in Kenyenya

A middle-aged man is reported to have poisoned his six-year-old boy before attempting to commit suicide in Kenyenya Sub-County.
According to the area County Police Commander Martin Kibet, the suspect had a quarrel with his wife at Mokonomi village.
After the altercation, the man allegedly took poison and gave his son and then drank it too.
The child was rushed to Magenche dispensary where he passed on while undergoing treatment.
The man who had been rushed to Kenyenya Sub-County hospital however survived and is currently undergoing treatment.
The police boss said that investigations are underway to conclusively determine what happened to the little boy.
The body has been moved to Nyamache Sub-County hospital mortuary.
