Family seeks justice after 10-year-old daughter defiled, strangled to death by two men

A family in Shirakalu village, Kakamega County is seeking justice after their 10-year-old daughter was allegedly defiled and strangled to death by two men in 2022.
Their daughter was buried three years ago after the family failed to get justice following the incident.
The Director of Homicide, Forensic experts from Nairobi and a team of detectives together with a government pathologist on Thursday led the exhumation process and conducted post mortem to get DNA samples that will assist in investigations.
Addressing the media at the scene, Western Regional Police Commander Issa Mahmoud said the DNA test will assist in investigations and bring the culprits to book.
The family says they hope to get justice for their daughter who was defiled and brutally killed by the assailants.
