Equity Dumas and
national men’s basketball team Morans skipper Victor Bosire has tipped the
bankers to give runaway league leaders Nairobi City Thunder a run for their
money come this season’s playoffs.
Despite boasting
a perfect record in the regular season, City Thunder had to rely on a solid
fourth-quarter display to narrowly defeat Dumas thanks to a 73-70 score at the
final buzzer.
Despite coming
short in the blockbuster showdown, Bosire is confident the Carrey
Odhiambo-coached side has assembled a juggernaut that will go toe-to-toe with
the Thunder in the postseason.
“We executed our game plan but I think in the fourth
quarter, there’s a spell where we let them have an 8-0 run and that is where we
lost the game.
“However, all is still not lost, and we build from that as
we work towards the playoffs.”
“We have made good signings mid-season and know we will use
the next coming games to gel completely.
The seasoned point guard says they will work on their team
chemistry as they eye a deep playoff run.
