Assets under management in Enwealth Capital’s Money Market Fund nearly doubled to Ksh2.03 billion in the year to June 2026, rising 91 per cent from Ksh1.07 billion a year earlier, as investor capital into the fund increased.

The growth made the Money Market Fund the largest contributor to the company’s investment performance. Investment income rose to Ksh94.2 million from Ksh84.3 million, while profit after tax increased 8.7 per cent to Ksh79.5 million from Ksh73.1 million.

The increase was accompanied by growth in Enwealth’s other investment products, including its Equity, Balanced and Dollar Money Market Funds, according to unaudited financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2026.

“The scale of growth in money market assets points to the continued importance investors place on liquidity and capital preservation in the current market environment. At the same time, the expansion of our equity and dollar-denominated funds suggests that investors are becoming more deliberate about diversification as they seek to balance liquidity with longer-term growth opportunities and manage exposure across different asset classes and currencies,” said Simon Wafubwa, Managing Director of Enwealth Financial Services.

The Enwealth Balanced Fund recorded the fastest growth in investment balances, rising to about Ksh20 million from Ksh6.1 million a year earlier, an increase of approximately 229 per cent.

Investment income from the fund rose more than six-fold to Ksh2.62 million from Ksh385,000 in the previous year.

The Dollar Money Market Fund also recorded strong growth, with investments increasing 75 per cent to US$1.19 million from US$680,269. Investment income rose to US$29,348 from US$17,322, while profit after tax increased to US$22,874 from US$14,031.

The dollar-denominated fund provides investors with an alternative to shilling-based investment products and exposure to foreign-currency assets.

Enwealth’s Equity Fund posted investment income of Ksh2.05 million, up from Ksh1.60 million in the previous year. Its investment balance stood at Ksh10.4 million at the end of the reporting period.

The performance comes as investors have access to a wider range of collective investment schemes offering varying levels of liquidity, risk and exposure to different asset classes and currencies.

Enwealth’s unit trust platform offers money market, equity, dollar-denominated and fixed-income investment products, with the funds targeting different investment objectives and risk profiles.

The company said it plans to continue expanding its investment offering as it seeks to attract more investors and support long-term wealth accumulation.
