Eight people injured after building collapses in Kisumu

The Kenya Red Cross, alongside a multi-agency response team, said that six people were treated on site, while two were referred to hospital in critical condition.

All residents were also successfully evacuated as police officers have cordoned off the construction site.

According to reports, the building tilted, but was held by a neighbouring building.

Officers are on site, awaiting further instructions from the National Construction Authority as its officials are assessing the building.
