Prof. Kindiki said nothing will put the two East African countries apart, citing their entwined history and ambitions.
“Kenya values its enduring partnership with Uganda, rooted in shared history, socio-economic interdependence, people-to-people ties and our nations’ shared commitment to championing Pan-Africanism,” the DP noted.
The Deputy President, on Tuesday, on behalf of President William Ruto, attended the swearing-in of Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds in Entebbe, Uganda.
Prof. Kindiki said Kenya is keen to deepen the partnership for the prosperity of both countries.
“Kenya looks forward to deepening its collaboration with Uganda and strengthening the enduring friendship and good neighbourliness for the mutual benefit and prosperity of our people,” he added.
The DP said Uganda continues to play a critical role in the growth of the East African Community through people-focused policies and programmes geared at improving the lives of their people and members of the EAC.
“We commend the progress made by the Republic of Uganda in advancing socio-economic transformation including expansion of infrastructure, upscaling trade and investments, advancement in the education and health sector as well as in other key sectors,” he said.
