Kenyan Gospel heavyweights
Size 8 and DJ Mo have officially moved into their newly built multi-million
shilling home, bringing to a close a years-long construction journey shaped by
patience, discipline and sacrifice.
The milestone has
been marked through music, with Size 8 releasing a new song titled ‘Pole Pole’,
Swahili for “slowly,” as a testimony of their journey toward home ownership.
In the song, she
reflects on moments of doubt and restoration, crediting her faith for carrying
her through what once seemed like an impossible path.
The lyrics capture
a deeply personal narrative of perseverance, with the singer urging listeners
to trust in God’s timing and remain steadfast despite challenges.
She delivers a
message of hope, encouraging those facing struggles not to be weighed down as
they wait for their own breakthroughs.
The accompanying
music video features a host of familiar faces from Kenya’s entertainment scene,
including Wapendwa Muziki, actress Dorea Chege, and the Wadosi family, all
appearing in support of the couple’s journey.
The couple has
previously revealed that the home is valued at approximately Ksh.45–46 million,
placing it among high-end properties in its neighbourhood.
By late 2025, the
house was nearly complete, with DJ Mo noting that the extended timeline was
intentional to ensure they got every detail right for what they consider their
final family home.
Behind the
impressive structure lies a story of deliberate sacrifice. The couple scaled
back on major expenses, choosing not to purchase a new car since 2018 and
significantly reducing lifestyle spending.
Size 8 has also
spoken openly about embracing simpler fashion choices, including wearing
thrifted outfits, as part of their commitment to staying within budget.
She has since
encouraged aspiring homeowners to be intentional with their finances, even if
it means temporarily lowering their standard of living to achieve long-term
goals—advice she says they, too, learned along the way.
Beyond the homecoming and musical release, Size 8 is also set to host a gospel crusade in Njiru on Saturday, where she is expected to minister and share her journey of faith with congregants.
