Moses Dola, who was found guilty of manslaughter following the murder of his wife Wambui Kabiru, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Lady Justice Roselyne Korir noted that though Dola was remorseful, Kabiru’s family is still bitter and is demanding for justice.

“The victim report filed in court showed that the family of the deceased is yet to come to terms with the death of their daughter,” the judge said in her ruling.

Sarah Wambui Kabiru was killed in 2011 at the couple’s home in Umoja estate, Nairobi.

They had a son who was two years old at the time.

“Wambui died at a young age and the son deprived of her mother at a young age too,” the Prosecution said in earlier proceedings.
