DJ Krowbar appeals for help for ailing wife

Krowbar took to social media to reveal that his partner, Wanjiru Karumba, has been battling kidney disease, and she needs a transplant. 

In a joint statement, the couple said Wanjiru has been battling the disease, and now she is in her last stage of treatment, which requires at least KSh 6 million. 

"When this journey began, I remember joining hands with my wife saying, "One day we shall see the end of this." Now the end is right ahead of us and we need your prayers and financial help to hold our hands to make this miracle a reality," Krowbar said in one of his posts.

In a video clip, the DJ also praised his wife for being a fighter, saying she is a hero in all the struggle with the disease. 

"My wife was diagnosed with kidney failure two years ago. It's been a crazy journey, but now there is light at the end of the tunnel. Heroes don't come dressed in capes. Heroes look like this, this is Mercy," Krowbar said.

In 2017, the couple relocated to South Africa as DJ Krowbar pursued further studies in Audio Engineering at the Sound and Engineering (SAE) Institute of South Africa.

Wanjiru, a fashion designer, continued with her work as the husband studied. But they returned back to Kenya, before she was diagnosed with the disease.
