In a statement on Sunday, DCP invited all interested candidates to apply for the party ticket and the amount will remain non-refundable.
Likewise, candidates under the PWDs category will be charged Ksh.125,000.
This comes after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced that the by-election for Ol Kalou constituency, in Nyandarua County, will be held on July 16, 2026.
The position fell vacant after David Njuguna Kiaraho passed away on March 29, 2026, while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.
In a Gazette Notice, IEBC said announced that all political parties intending to participate in mini polls shall submit the names and signatures of their candidates on or before May 4, 2026.
Parties intending to present candidates through indirect nominations shall submit their names on or before May 15, 2026.
Likewise, any public officer intending to contest in the by-elections will be required to resign from public office within seven days of the declaration of vacancy.
The campaign period shall commence on May 25 to July 13.
