DCI launches probe into assassination of lawyer Kyalo Mbobu

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched a probe into the assassination of Lawyer Kyalo Mbobu, who was killed in a drive-by shooting on Tuesday evening along Magadi road, Nairobi.
In a statement on Wednesday, DCI said that experts from the National Forensic Laboratory arrived at the scene of crime and collected evidence that will be crucial to the probe.
The investigative police unit maintained that it will appropriate all its resources to bring the perpetrators to book.
It has also condoled with Mbobu's family, appealing for public calm and allow the probe to ensue.
According to reports, Mbobu was attacked at around 5:40 pm by assailants on a motorbike who fired at his head before speeding off.
Law Society of Kenya(LSK) president Faith Odhiambo has called for speedy probe into the murder, demanding swift apprehension of those involved.
