David Polepole vows to rediscover scoring touch at Kariobangi Sharks

The Congolese forward joined the "Sharkmen" following his exit from Tusker FC, putting behind a challenging previous season that he views as a catalyst for growth rather than a setback.

“I’m grateful to be here and for this opportunity,” Polepole said. “Last season didn’t go as planned, but it won’t hold me back. I need to work hard, adapt quickly, and be as competitive as possible.”

Polepole expressed complete readiness for whatever role the coaching staff asks of him.

“Whatever role I’m given, I’ll give it my all. I’m a striker driven to redeem myself and score significantly more goals than last season,” he noted.

Polepole praised the team's environment, highlighting Sharks' identity and technical setup.

“Kariobangi Sharks is a great team with a clear playing style that genuinely develops players. The coaching staff is ambitious, organized, and supportive. Right now, it’s all about soaking up what I’m learning and bringing my best to the pitch.”

He added that mental and physical readiness will be key to reaching his targets: “To get back to my best, I have to be prepared physically, emotionally, and mentally. I'm already getting the support I need here to make that happen.”

Polepole reunites in the Sharks locker room with fellow striker Douglas Nyaosi, who also sealed his move from Tusker FC on Friday.

The duo marks Kariobangi Sharks’ latest acquisitions in the ongoing transfer window ahead of the 2026/27 season.
