David Karega jailed for 100 years for defiling five children in Nakuru

David Karega has been jailed for 100 years after he defiled five children in Nakuru County.

Karega defiled the children aged between 4 and 7 at Rigogo village in Rongai.

The Molo court was told that he defiled them in turns then gave them each Ksh. 10 and warned them against divulging to anybody what had happened.

Prosecutor Moses Macharia presented 11 witnesses who all testified that Karega had lured the five girls and defiled them.

Principal Magistrate Yator found the accused guilty in the case that have been going on since September 2019.

The convict was hurriedly escorted to a waiting vehicle to begin serving his sentence.

The Sexual Offences Act No 3 of 2006 states: “A person who commits an offence of defilement with a child aged eleven years or less shall upon conviction be sentenced to imprisonment for life.”
