Comedian Timothy Kimani, popularly known as Njugush, has announced a split with his wife, Celestine Ndinda, alias Wakavinye.

Njugush made a public statement on Tuesday night after months of speculation that the couple had parted ways.

“Last year, we made the decision to part ways after much thought and with mutual respect. We have been co-parenting, and our children remain our top priority. We continue to support one another and kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this next chapter,” the comedian wrote in a statement.

The couple got married in 2016 and has two children.

While Njugush made the announcement, Celestine has maintained her silence over the matter.

Reports on the couple’s separation emerged mid-last year. Then, fans observed that the two had stopped co-creating online content.

This was unlikely for the couple, who have been collaborating in making skits and stand-up comedy under the Njugush Creatives company.

The couple had earlier collaborated in their stand-up comedy series dubbed Through Thick and Thin (TTNT). The comical series has since reached season 6, and Njugush is expected to take the stage alone on August 1, 2026.
