Popular city car dealer Joseph Kairo Wambui, alias Khalif Kairo, has once again been arrested over allegations of defrauding a client.

According to reports, Kairo is said to have failed to deliver a car purchased by one of his clients despite the complainant paying the full amount.

Videos seen by Citizen Digital showed the businessman man being detained at Capitol Hill Police Station on Saturday amid a brief scuffle with the officers.

In one of the clips, Kairo could be heard complaining to officers not to harass him as they threatened him to cooperate.

“Si vita, you are not going to harass me, you can’t harass me bana! You wait I sort things out,” Kairo can be heard saying in the video.

One of the officers after an escalation said, “…Ebu thubutu! Wacha ujinga bwana! Do you think you are the first person to come here? Unaona niko na clients pale kwa ofisi…sitakuruhusu ulete ujinga hapa. Sisi tunapiga watu. Tutakupiga hapa saa hii tu!”

The police are said to have nabbed him after he allegedly failed to convince the victim that he was planning a trip to New York to secure funds and return to settle the matter.

Kairo’s arrest comes barely two months after he found himself in a similar spot.

On December 3, 2024, the dealer who also doubles up as a social media influencer was apprehended over claims of failing to deliver yet another high-end vehicle to a client.

He was arrested at a car yard in Ridgeways then and grilled at the Kasarani Police Station.
