The national Under-U20 rugby team Chipu, is ready to roar at the Rugby Africa U20 Barthes Trophy that begins tomorrow at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.

Hosts Kenya will battle arch rivals Uganda in the quarterfinals at 4pm in a repeat of last year’s face-off, where Olago’s side beat Uganda 54-20 in the heavily one-sided quarterfinal match played in Nairobi.

The other fixture will see defending champions Zimbabwe take Cote D'ivoire at 9am, 2018 champions Namibia will clash against Zambia while Madagascar prepare to play Tunisia.

The tournament will be played on a knockout basis with over three match days. The winner will represent Africa at the World Rugby Junior Trophy slated for South Africa (24 June-14 July) and Kenya (15-30 July), respectively.

The Barthés Trophy is the only junior tournament in Africa and eight national U20 teams compete.
