Five Chinese nationals have been arrested in Nairobi with items feared to be a threat to national security.

They are alleged to have been operating an illegal security firm in Lavington area.

“They will be detained for sometime as the investigating agencies do further investigations,” the Immigration Department said on Twitter.

Police discovered teargas canisters, laptops and uniform.

They also discovered that the Chinese nationals have been in the country without work permits.

The suspects are currently at the Immigration headquarters at Nyayo House in Nairobi.
