Chema down Prisons, GSU corner KPA in exciting ties

Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) Kenya Cup semi-final
matches took centre stage on Saturday with exciting fixtures going down at
the Kasarani Stadium Indoor Arena.
Men’s semi-finals fixtures included Chema who took on the
Kenya Prisons and the General Services Unit (GSU)taking on the Kenya Ports
Authority (KPA).
After earning promotion from Division II, Chema continued to
shock the traditional powerhouses to reach the Kenya Volleyball Federation
Finals after overcoming the Kenya Prisons by a commanding 3 sets to 1 win.
The rapidly rising men’s community volleyball team based in
Juja secured the silver medal after yet another successful day in the office.
After an entertaining match between Chema and the Kenya
Ports Authority, the day was not yet over for volleyball lovers as General
Service Unit (GSU) had a date with the Kenya Ports Authority.
The law enforcers proved to be too good for the Kenya Ports
Authority as they commanded their way to the Kenya Volleyball Federation Finals
after a hard fought 3-2 victory.
The thrilling match saw General Services Unit make a two-sets
lead before receiving a shocking comeback to make things equal in the fourth
set.
General Services Unit confirmed their way to the Ffinals
in the fifth set after cruising past the disturbing Kenya Ports Authority.
As the Kenya Volleyball Federation semi-finals play-off came
to a close on Saturday afternoon, all eyes are now set on the final as Chema
are ready to face off with General Services Unit.
