Celebrated actress Dakore Egbuson opens up on “marrying her husband for money”

Top Nigerian actress Dakore Egbuson – Akande has dispelled rumours that she got married to her husband Olumide Akande because of his wealth.

The mother of two said in an exclusive chat with TVConnect that her marriage is founded on love and God; and not on money. Her husband is from a wealthy home.

“People are entitled to whatever they want to think. I married for love and that’s why I’m still married. Just because my husband is from a wealthy family doesn’t automatically mean I married him because of his wealth. We love each other very much and we have two beautiful children. We’re living our lives the best way we can,” said Dakore.

The 37-year-old, nonetheless, admits that her marriage faces quite a number of challenges – just like many other unions.

“Sometimes, you get upset with each other, you have expectations of each other that sometimes aren’t met, and it’s a normal feeling but acting on it totally a different thing. So we have challenges in our marriage like every marriage but we are committed, we have our foundation as God, He is the third chord in our string, He keeps us together.”

The beautiful actress got married to her heartthrob Mr. Akande, the son of a Nigerian billionaire, in 2011.
