Postbank women's volleyball team has received a timely boost ahead of the 2026/27 Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) Women's National League season after unveiling their new playing kit in Nairobi on Thursday evening.

The bankers, who have steadily established themselves in the top flight since earning promotion in 2022, will head into the new campaign with renewed confidence after securing kit sponsorship from microfinance firm FinCredit.

Last season, Postbank continued their upward trajectory by finishing fifth in the league, their highest placing yet, and the team believes the fresh investment will inspire an even stronger challenge against the country's established volleyball powerhouses.

Postbank Managing Director Raphael Lekolool challenged the players to translate their steady progress into improved league performances, insisting the new season presents another opportunity for the club to raise its standards.

"We believe this support will give the players even greater confidence going into the season. The team has continued to improve every year, and we now want to see that progress reflected in even better performances in the National League," said Lekolool.

He pointed to the institution's dominance in inter-bank competitions, where Postbank have successfully defended their title five consecutive times, saying the same winning mentality should now be evident on the national stage.

Team manager Thomas Moek described the sponsorship as a major morale booster at a crucial point in the club's preparations.

"This support has come at the perfect time. The new kits give the players confidence as we prepare for the season, and we are determined to repay that faith with strong performances on the court," said Moek.

Club captain Hilda Chepkosgei echoed those sentiments, expressing optimism that the improved support structure would help the team compete more consistently against the league's top sides.

"With this support, we are looking forward to producing better results and putting in strong performances throughout the new season," she said.

FinCredit Chief Executive Officer John Kariuki said the company was delighted to support a team that has shown steady growth over the past few seasons, noting that the partnership builds on a long-standing relationship with Postbank.

The new season now presents Postbank with another opportunity to continue their rise in Kenyan volleyball as they target a place among the league's leading contenders after narrowly missing out on the top four last campaign.
