Bomet residents lament over poor road

Speaking to Citizen Digital, locals said the situation has been compounded by heavy rains, rendering the roads impassable.

“Our children have a hard time accessing their schools. Transporting goods to the market has become a nightmare,” said Gilbert Koech.

Images seen by Citizen Digital show residents walking on the edges of the muddy road, with motorbike operators wading through stagnant water.

“We call upon our leaders to move with speed and ensure that our roads are well maintained,” said another resident. 

Chebunyo is one of the six wards in Chepelungu constituency located in Bomet county.
