Bomet: Man arrested for cohabiting with 17-year-old school girl

A 22-year-old man is being held at the Kapletundo police station ,Sotik sub-county in Bomet after he was found having held hostage a 17-year-old school girl in his house for 2 days.
Police, after a tip off from members of the public, raided his home at Kapkoitim village and found the suspect, Brian Koech in a compromising situation with the girl.
When interrogated by the police the 17-year-old girl, a student at Kamungei Mixed boarding within Sotik area said she had been sent home on Monday to collect school fees but instead headed direct to her boyfriend's home.
Police conducted a search and found school uniform neatly hidden under the bed where they were both escorted to the police station to be arraigned before a Sotik court after undergoing medical examination at the Kapkatet hospital.
