Bodaboda rider dies after being hit by cargo train in Voi

A bodaboda rider has died after he was hit by a train in Voi, Taita Taveta County.

The Wednesday night accident occurred as the rider was crossing the railway line on the Sofia Junction.

The man died on the spot, prompting the cargo train to stop a few metres away from the scene.

The bodaboda rider’s body was taken to the Moi County Refferal Hospital mortuary in Voi town.
