Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi arrested in Ksh.17M extortion plot

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Monday arrested two suspects in connection with a blackmail and, extortion plot.
Controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi and Emmanuel Nwamweya Ong’era were nabbed after reportedly receiving Ksh.1 million in down payment from one of their victims.
According to the detectives, the duo had demanded Ksh.17.5 million to pull down libelous posts appearing on a website owned by them.
The down payment has since been recovered and the two are set to be arraigned in court on Tuesday.
