Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has added yet another feather to his cap, earning another prestigious recognition for his leadership skills.

Mr. Owino has been ranked the best performing MP in Kenya by research firm Politrack Africa. Taking to social media after receiving the award, the legislator said “A big thank you to the great people of Embakasi East Republic. May God bless Kenyans.”

This comes as the second such accolade the vocal lawmaker has received in recent times, having also been ranked the leading Kenyan MP by Infotrak in February.

The survey by Infotrak, referenced in the Countrytrak Performance Index 2024, gave Mr. Owino an overall performance score of 72%.

It covered all the 47 counties, 290 constituencies and 1450 wards with 39,795 participants.

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro came a close second in the report, receiving a 71% performance rating, while his Kabuchai counterpart Joseph Kalasinga and Kathiani’s Robert Mbui tied at third place with 62%.

Gathoni Wamuchomba (Githunguri), John Waluke (Sirisia), Peter Salasya (Mumias East), and Erastus Nzioka (Mbooni) wrapped up the top five best performances, all with a 61% score.
