Naivas FC head coach Elvis Ayany is riding high on his team’s attacking form after two straight high-scoring wins in the National Super League (NSL).

Naivas thrashed Kisumu All Stars 4-0 over the weekend, marking their second consecutive four-goal performance.

The result highlighted Naivas’ growing confidence in attack and marked a second straight match of four-goal haul, following their earlier 4-1 win over Talanta.

Speaking to Citizen Digital after the win, Ayany praised his forward line, singling out striker Derrick Anami, who has been in sensational form with seven goals in just two matches.

Reflecting on the latest win, Ayany praised his forwards for their composure and sharpness in front of goal, saying their improved finishing has been key to the team’s recent turnaround.

“I am thankful to the players for the team effort that is now bearing fruit. We have improved in our finishing, especially Anami. When he is in good form, the team performs well, I am happy we are now utilizing our chances,” said Ayany.

The coach now wants consistency as Naivas prepare to face Gucha Stars in their next fixture, urging his side to maintain their intensity and focus.

Despite earlier struggles with consistency, Ayany says the team is now better placed to handle pressure in the run-in.

“It will be a tough match, we hope the weather will be correct, but the boys are motivated and I hope we will get good results,” he noted.

Naivas sit eighth on the NSL table with 47 points from 31 matches, with eight games remaining as they push to climb higher in the standings.
