According to a detailed report aired by Citizen TV yesterday, Otieno was intercepted by law enforcement officers in Githurai 44 while allegedly offloading a massive haul of stolen electronics from a getaway vehicle. 

While the police strongly maintain that the suspect succumbed to severe injuries sustained after losing control of his speeding vehicle and plunging into a ditch during a high-stakes pursuit, his family and local activists have contested this account, raising serious questions about the circumstances of his death. 

With the initial postmortem yielding no definitive answers, investigators are banking on the toxicology results to provide the scientific clarity needed to resolve the case. The autopsy exercise was conducted by government pathologist Dr. Bernard Midia.
