‎Angila calls for patience as Gideon Starlets seek better results in KWPL

Gideon Starlets head coach James Angila says his side needs time to settle and start producing better results after collecting just one point from their opening two matches of the season in the Kenya Women's Premier League.

‎‎Speaking to Citizen Digital, Angila said the players have not yet fully adapted to each other due to limited preparation time, but believes the situation will improve before they reach their fifth match of the campaign.

‎‎“We need time for the team to settle because the players have not yet fully understood each other. We did not have enough time to prepare, but I believe things will improve before the fifth match of the season,” Angila said.

‎Gideon Starlets began their campaign with a 2-0 defeat against Ulinzi Starlets before playing out a goalless draw with Bungoma Queens in their second match.

‎The results have left Gideon Starlets with one point from a possible six, placing them eighth in the league standings.

‎Angila will now be hoping his players can quickly build an understanding as they look to improve their performances and climb the table in the coming matches.
