Police FC made a strong statement ahead of the new FKF Premier League season with the unveiling of 16 new signings across their men’s and women’s football teams, alongside the launch of their new youth academy during this year’s Police FC Day that was held at Police DT Sacco Stadium on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

For the men's team, Kenya Police FC, welcomed Ugandan forward Alfred Leku, formerly of Kiyovu Sports of Rwanda, and Senegalese midfielder El Hadji Abdou Karim.

The squad also includes former Tusker FC winger Eric Zakayo, AFC Leopards’ Jaffari Owiti, Daniel Sakari, Jackson Macharia, Geoffrey Onyango, Brian Musa, and goalkeeper John Samuel Njau.

The team lifted the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup after seeing off KCB 8-7 in post-match penalties in June, to book their ticket to the CAF Confederations Cup.

They are set to launch their campaign against Ethiopian Coffee on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in the first leg, with the repeat fixture set for a week later.

The women’s team, Kenya Police Bullets FC, saw the addition of several promising talents such as Harambee Starlets captain Elizabeth Ochaka, midfielder Jane Hato, and goalkeeper Annedy Kundu.

Others are Emily Moranga, Bertha Omita, Christine Nafula, and Norah Ann.

Police also unveiled their new Police FC academy, which comprises the U-9, U-12, U-13, U-15, and U-17 teams.

A partnership was signed between the police and Upper Hill High School and Olympic Girls’ Secondary School, which will act as key talent pipelines for the academy.

Dr. Raymond Omollo, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Interior and National Administration and the club’s patron, underscored the significance of these developments.

We are signing agreements with a couple of youthful teams, those at the level of the academies and high schools so that we have a robust pipeline that will ensure that football is conducted in a sustainable manner,” he said.

Additionally, Police DT Sacco Chairman Mr. David Madegwa announced that the Sacco will unveil a new title sponsorship for the Kenya Police Bullets FC next year, and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting talent development.

We are passionate about supporting the development of talent in Kenya; the women’s team encapsulates the true definition of honour and dedication; as an organization, we will be keen on unveiling our solid support for the Police Bullets,” stated Madegwa.
