Ajore targets NSL promotion as Compel FC new boss

Compel FC have appointed Robert Ajore as their new head coach, with the tactician setting his sights on guiding the Division One side to promotion to the National Super League (NSL).

Ajore is relishing the opportunity and says securing promotion will be his primary objective when the new campaign gets underway.

The coach joins Compel after a two-year spell with Turkana-based Hillside FC, where he gained valuable experience before taking up his new challenge.

Ajore believes he has a strong foundation to build on at Compel, with the squad already boasting quality players.

“Compel is a big team. We are preparing with a number of lined-up friendlies. We have already started with Bungoma All Stars, and others will follow,” Ajore told Citizen Digital.

Despite his confidence in the current squad, Ajore says he will make additions where necessary to strengthen the team and improve its chances of achieving promotion.

“Additions are normal. Of course, in the market there will be players who will be leaving,” he added.

With preparations already underway, Ajore now has the task of blending the existing talent with his tactical philosophy as Compel begin their push for a place in the NSL.
