Two people were killed and nine others injured following an accident at the dreaded Sachangwan area on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
The accident occurred when the driver of 14-seater matatu lost control and the vehicle rolled several times.
According to Nakuru County Police Commander Stephen Matu, the driver of the matatu belonging to Sunrise Sacco tried to avoid colliding with an oncoming lorry but hit a wall.
Eyewitness claimed that the matatu that was coming from Eldoret was on the wrong side of the road.
The injured were taken to various hospitals in Molo.
Sachangwan is a black spot for motorists with several horrific accidents occurring there in the past.
In December 2017, at least 20 people died following a multiple car crash at the dreaded Sachangwan.
The accident involved 13 vehicles including a Modern Coast bus, four Nissan Matatus, a land cruiser, a Prado, a truck and several other private vehicles.
Eight years before that, over 100 people died after a tanker burst into flames moments after it had overturned at Sachangwan.
