2 children disappeared while playing, they were found dead in a banana plantation

The victims, identified as Annah Bahati and Stacy Nyanchama, reportedly disappeared while playing together at around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday before their lifeless bodies were discovered at about 10:00 p.m. in a banana plantation near Marble Hospital.
Preliminary reports indicate the girls may have been defiled, poisoned, and killed, although the exact cause of death has not yet been established.
A bottle believed to contain poison was recovered near where the bodies were found, raising suspicion that the children may have been poisoned after being abducted.
Police officers from Suneka Police Station visited the scene alongside Kisii South Deputy County Commissioner Grace Ouma.
The bodies were moved to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem examination.
Police have launched investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths and identify those responsible.
Authorities have urged members of the public with any information that could assist the investigation to report it to the nearest police station.
