A family in Kangondo Village, Dagoretti South, has been plunged into deep agony following the kidnapping of their 14-month-old baby boy on Monday afternoon.

The chilling incident, which occurred at around 2:30 PM on September 7, was captured on security cameras.

According to Dylan Muinde’s mother, Cindy Atieno, she was inside her house when the child’s grandmother called, offering to buy him some yoghurt.

However, when Cindy stepped outside to check on her son, the courtyard where he usually played with other children was empty.

Witnesses and the older playmates revealed a calculated trap orchestrated by two strange women who had suddenly appeared in the neighborhood.

The suspects initially approached the children under the guise of being new residents who were looking for a local shop. They offered to help carry baby Dylan.

Once they reached the shop, the two women gave the older children money to buy foodstuffs, luring them inside.

The unsuspecting children left the toddler in the hands of the strangers, who immediately vanished into a nearby forest with the toddler.

Although officers from the Kabete Police Station visited the scene on Monday and successfully retrieved the CCTV footage, the family expresses growing frustration as the search enters its third day with no substantial breakthrough.

Investigators say they are now heavily relying on the public's help to identify and trace the two women captured on camera kidnapping the minor.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Dylan is requested to report to the Kabete Police Station or the nearest police authority.
