Fourteen people were Tuesday night arrested in Isebania, Migori County for contravening the curfew orders.

Kuria West Sub-county Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo said the suspects were arrested by police officers who were on patrol to enforce curfew orders.

Mr. Kimaiyo said all the suspects spent the night in police custody waiting to be arraigned on Wednesday.

The sub county police commander said it’s unfortunate that the government has made it clear that there is no movement between 10pm to 4am and some people continue to disregard the directive.

He said the government directives must be adhered to, warning those flouting the curfew orders and COVID-19 protocols.

Mr. Kimaiyo reiterated that the fight against COVID-19 should be an individual responsibility and therefore urged the residents of Kuria West to support the government in the fight against the pandemic.
