10 people killed after matatu rams stalled trailer in Gilgil

Ten people have been confirmed dead following a grisly road
accident at the Kariandusi area near Gilgil on the Naivasha–Nakuru highway.
The accident, which occurred at around 9:30p.m., involved a
10-seater matatu belonging to Leakana Sacco that was heading from Naivasha
towards Nakuru.
According to police reports, the matatu rammed a stalled
trailer along the busy highway under circumstances that are still under
investigation.
Authorities say only one person survived the crash, with the
rest of the occupants succumbing to injuries at the scene.
