Two children drown in a pond in Kakamega County

Two children have died after they drowned in a pond in Kakamega County.

Police have launched investigations into the incident that happened at Lake Basin area in Manyonyi Ward, Lugari Constituency.

Further reports indicate that the incident involved a five-year-old and an eleven-year-old.

Following the incident, parents have been urged to remain vigilant and keep a closer watch on their children.

The bodies of the deceased have been transported to a nearby mortuary.
