Traffic snarl up following morning accident on Mombasa Road

The incident happened after the driver of a pick-up lost control of the vehicle before landing in a ditch.

“The vehicle was heading towards Athi River before the incident happened,” a witness told Citizen Digital.

The accident, which did not record any fatalities, disrupted the flow of traffic on the busy highway as curious onlookers flocked the scene.

Police officers moved to the scene and helped control traffic flow, restoring normalcy in the process.

“We urge motorists to be cautious especially during rush hour to avoid such incidents,” police said.
