Tharaka Nithi: Fight over fish turns fatal as vendor kills colleague
A man from Ntabuta area in Tharaka Nithi County has confessed to killing his colleague after a quarrel over payment for fish.
Nicholas Nthiga, 42, is alleged to have killed his fellow fish vendor, Geoffrey Mukinda, 34, for taking his stock and refusing to pay for it.
In the heat of the argument, Mukinda is alleged to have hit Nthiga, who got furious and strangled him.
Area chief Emmanuel Kibunjia confirmed the incident.
Nthiga was arrested and is being detained at Marimanti police station.
