Suspect accused of attacking man at Njiru mosque arraigned

Siyad Barre appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Wandia Nyamu on Wednesday and was charged with causing grievous harm, contrary to section 234 of the penal code.
This is after the ODPP reinstated the withdrawn case after the complainant raised a complaint with the ODPP stating that the withdrawal was irregular.
Siyad Barre is accused of committing the crime on 27th December 2022 at Kirima in Njiru sub county in Nairobi jointly with others not before the court.
He is accused of causing grievous harm to Aden Ibrahim Mohamed.
Siyad Barre was released on a bond of Ksh. 200,000 and cash bail of Ksh. 200,000.
The case will be mentioned on the 2nd of July 2025.
