Several injured as matatu overturns along Mombasa-Nairobi highway
Several passengers have been rushed to Machakos County Referral Hospital after the matatu they were traveling in overturned near Maanzoni along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
The matatu was en route from Machakos to Nairobi when the accident occurred.
Witnesses reported that the driver swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle, leading to the overturn.
Athi River Sub-county Police Commander Phyllis Muthoni confirmed the incidents adding that investigations have begun.
