Search ongoing for suspected drug peddlers in Kisii

Police in Kisii County are pursuing suspected drug peddlers who escaped a .

According to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, the suspects were spotted in a vehicle in Kisii Central Sub County.

“Officers on patrol spotted a speeding vehicle heading from Igare to Keumbu Central,” reads part of the report.

Following a hot pursuit the vehicle, registration number KMD 657B, developed a puncture as it took a turn towards the main road.

“The suspects fled the scene and abandoned the vehicle in the process,” police added.

The officers from Keumbu Police Station mounted a search and recovered two sacks of marijuana.

The vehicle was towed to the police station pending further investigations.

A search operation is ongoing in a bid to bring the runaway suspects to book.
