Residents in Nairobi’s Roysambu have welcomed a beautification project.

The exercise at the Roysambu roundabout along the Thika Superhighway is being spearheaded by the Kenya National Highway Authorities, (KENHA).

“This will change the face of Roysambu. The beautification of the Roysambu Traffic Island is a good idea,” a resident said.

At the same time, locals noted that the project will help their children get first-hand information on matters environmental conservation.

“Our children will be able to learn from their environment. We are in a world where climate change discussions are at peak,” said another.

The project, financed by the Nairobi City County Government, commenced on May 29, 2023 and it is expected to be completed by November 29, 2023.

The project is aimed at beautifying Roysambu and areas along the Thika Superhighway as part of environmental conservation efforts.

“This is one little way of making both locals and our young ones appreciate the environment,” a resident added.
