Probe as man reportedly dies by suicide in Uriri, Migori County

Police have launched an investigation into the death of a 26-year-old man who allegedly committed suicide inside his shop in West Kanyamkago location, Uriri in Migori County.

West Kanyamkago Chief Gabriel Oso reported that a neighbor, noticing that the shop had remained closed for two days, became curious about the whereabouts of the shop owner, Julius Ndote.

Upon investigation, the neighbor discovered Ndote’s body hanging with a rope inside his shop.

The acting chief promptly contacted the police, who arrived at the scene, collected the body, and transported it to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.

Authorities are currently working to establish the circumstances leading to Ndote’s death.
