Probe As Form Three Student Dies In Maseno School

Investigations are underway into an incident where a Form Three student at Maseno School allegedly fell off the second floor of a dormitory.

According to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, the incident was reported by the school’s Deputy Principal, John Okoth.

The matter was reported this morning at Maseno Police Station in Kisumu West, Kisumu County.

Police said the Deputy Principal got wind of the information from a student. The deceased was rushed to Coptic Hospital in Luanda and later transferred to Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu.

The report further indicates that the boy’s parents were informed about the incident. The parents later arrived at the facility where the student was undergoing treatment. The student however succumbed to his injuries.

The distraught parents looked on in disbelief as they sought answers from police and the school administration.

"All we want to know is what led to our son's death. We are hoping to get answers from the post-mortem exercise," Ingolo said.

The boy's parents also want the school to furnish them with CCTV footage for review. "We are yet to review the CCTV footage so as to ascertain what transpired. "

The body is lying at Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary Kisumu pending autopsy," reads the statement.
