Tension has engulfed Majani Mingi village in Rongai, Nakuru County, after the body of an unidentified man was found half-buried in a sisal farm.

The body was discovered on Wednesday night by residents who said that some of its parts appeared to have been mutilated.

“The body appears to have been buried for about three days, and some of its parts like the eyes were missing,” said a resident.

“It also seems acid had been poured on the deceased's face and as such the body cannot be identified at the moment,” he added.

Confirming the incident, Rongai area Police Commander Richard Rotich said the body was taken to Nakuru Level V Hospital awaiting postmortem.

“The body had started decomposing and the postmortem will shed light on what happened,” said Rotich.
