One person killed in an accident in Busia

It is reported that the car was being driven at high speed by a mechanic heading towards Mabale, and it struck the man, who was on his way to Busia town, killing him instantly.

Police have mounted a search for the mechanic who fled the scene shortly after the accident. Angry locals then set the car on fire.

Police officers from Busia moved the deceased's body to Busia Referral Hospital mortuary.
